Born in the Hollywood Hills of California, Kiley/Ki started her professional vocal career at the age of ten when she auditioned for the part of “Annie” at the Schubert Theater in Los Angeles. Though she landed the part, her parents declined the offer in the hopes she would have a “normal” childhood. Along the way she sang in school later recording vocals for other songwriters looking for publishing deals. She has performed background vocals for artists on the circuit in Los Angeles at venues like Genghis Cohen and Luna Park. In the studio she recorded background vocals for artists such as Ringo Starr and then live for Peter DiStefano, lead guitarist of the band, “Porno for Pyros”. She sang with “The Angel City Chorale” at the 2000 “Gore” Democratic Convention along with Stevie Wonder, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
In the year 2000 she was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, which she overcame, bald as a bat, singing with local artists in her home. By the end of 2001 Kiley was back in the public eye, performing for charity events supporting cancer education, children, and the arts. She has helped raise over $25,000 for cancer charities alone since the year 2002.
In 2004 Kiley joined with Peter DiStefano to write an
album. The five song EP was released in March of 2004. The full album
is to be released in September 2004 with digital distribution for the
web in effect by the end of October through Somis Sound. It is written,
performed and co-produced by Peter DiStefano and Michael Blue.
